Session on Table Etiquette and Food Hygiene practices

Proper etiquette is essential for making a favorable impression at both lunch/dinner interviews as well as in social business situations. Learning and practicing dining etiquettes when trying to make a positive impression when dining in public, they will automatically use each utensil properly and not have to worry about such dining etiquette details. This will ultimately favor students throughout their personal and professional lives. These objectives were fulfilled during the visit to Hilton Hotel, Colombo 02. The staffs of the Hotel along with the professionals were very helpful and supportive during the visit.

The visit was organized for 25 students of 28th batch in Medical Faculty with the participation of the Director CGU, Dr. Sudath M. Amarasena, Faculty Representative Dr.Indra Wijewardena, Ms.Hiruni Wijegunarathne form CGU on 22nd of February 2019 from 10.00am-12.15pm.

Food safety and Healthy hygiene practices of Hilton Hotel were demonstrated by the Hygiene Manager, Mr.Sahan Thejaka which helped students to get more exposure and knowledge on the five-star hotel food practices. The visit helped students to get the more informative insight into the Hotel culture, practices and will shape them to be successful medical professionals in near future which has the confidence to present in front of any crowd.
